Claudia Corriveau
Project manager
Claudia Corriveau is a professor of mathematics education at Laval University and is responsible for the MathéRéaliser project.
The MathéRéaliser research project has three main objectives.
Firstly, the project aims to develop, in collaboration with teachers, a practice of using manipulatives in primary mathematics classes.
Secondly, it aims to better understand how manipulatives shape students’ mathematical reasoning and classroom interactions.
Thirdly, by using 3D printers to design manipulatives for teaching and learning mathematics, we aim to understand the didactic variables at play when materials are used.
